- “Anthropomorphic” is not the word, “theriomorphic” is? This is a word I have never heard.
- Multiple Personality Disorder is now known as Dissociative Identity Disorder and I found online articles for both The Hulk and Crazy Jane that felt like the comic characters were a good representation for the disease. Yay comics!
- How did they manage the voice of Pazuzu:
- The voice of Pazuzu (the demon in The Exorcist) was performed by Mercedes McCambridge.
She was an acclaimed radio, stage, and film actress known for her powerful voice. Director William Friedkin chose her for her distinctive, unsettling vocal performance, and she went to extreme lengths for the role—chain-smoking, drinking raw eggs, and even demanding to be physically restrained during recording to capture the demon’s tortured sound.
Interestingly, she was initially uncredited in the film, which led to some controversy until her role was publicly acknowledged.

- The internet has no helpful information on what outdoor stair passages are called except to point out that outdoor stairs are called ‘steps’ while indoor stairs are called ‘stairs’. This is interesting. I had never noticed the discrimination before.
And there they are clearly labeled on Google Maps as “Steps”
- The Priest 1994
- 23rd Psalm -memorized by myself for my Sunday School Teacher, Patti Persaud, (she was so pretty) and chanted every night in bed after seeing the Exorcist to keep me from being possessed by a demon -which I guess I would have to say, for the most part, worked:
- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

- Yes, Jesuits are Catholic.
- The Jesuits, formally known as the Society of Jesus, are a religious order within the Roman Catholic Church. They were founded in 1540 by St. Ignatius of Loyola, and they take vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience—plus a special vow of obedience to the Pope.
Jesuits are known for:- Education (they’ve founded many universities and schools worldwide)
- Intellectual and theological scholarship
- Missionary work
- Social justice and advocacy
- They’re sometimes referred to as the “Pope’s shock troops,” especially in historical contexts, because of their role in countering the Protestant Reformation and spreading Catholicism globally.
